The Centre for Sustainable Communications enters its third contract period – lasting to June 2015. The contract was approved by the General Meeting of Partners on 24 September 2012. The two new partners joining CESC are Coop, Sweden’s second largest food retailer and the Interactive Institute, a Swedish IT-research institute with over 50 employees.

Four strong private and public sector partners continue their engagement in CESC: Ericsson, TeliaSonera, the City of Stockholm and TMR – the Office of Regional Growth, Environment and Planning. KTH Royal Institute of Technology remains the host university. Christer Törnevik, Director of EMF Safety and Sustainability at Ericsson, continues as chairman of the Board.

“I am very happy that this prominent group of partners has decided to work together for a sustainable society supported by ICT,” says Professor Mattias Höjer, Director of CESC. “We enter the third contract period with a newly-revised research program tailor-made for this group of partners.”
