Summing up of SEB’12 Conference

Published Sep 05, 2012

Over 100 delegates attended SEB’12 – the 4th International Conference on Sustainability in Energy and Buildings, 3-5 September 2012 in Stockholm. Several researchers from CESC and KTH presented current research findings at the conference, among them Anna Kramers, Örjan Svane and Nils Brown from CESC and the Division of Environmental Strategies Research. Professor Göran Finnveden, KTH-Vice President and project leader at CESC, gave the conference’s opening keynote address, describing challenges for sustainable building in the face of climate change and other environmental threats.

Mattias Höjer, CESC Director and one of the General Chairs of the conference, is pleased with the event and with the collaborative efforts of  fellow General chair Anne Håkansson from the KTH School of Information and Communication Technology. It was Anne who brought the conference to Stockholm, and carried out a large part of the organisational work. He is also happy with CESC’s first cooperation with KES International, co-organiser of SEB’12 and responsible for the SEB conference series. SEB’13 will take place in Fes/Morocco 16-21 June 2013.

The SEB’12 conference proceedings will be published at Springer later this year.
